I am happy to support hope 2002 - the 2nd International conference on HIV and Substance Abuse, being organised by Drug Abuse Information Rehabilitation & Research Centre in association with United Nations Drug Control Program, National Aids Control Organisation of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
The suffering caused by HIV and Substance Abuse to the human race is unmatched by anything other than war. We must all work together towards a better world. The thrust should be to reach out to susceptible populations with educational messages on both subjects.
A more humane approach to victims is also a must.

I wish the deliberations a success.
